Tartan is often closely linked to the culture and customs of Scotland. In fact, the Highlanders of Scotland already used tartan in their clothing many centuries ago. Today, the distinctive pattern of interwoven stripes in various shades is widely recognized (although it is often mistakenly referred to as a "plaid," which is actually a large blanket). This particular “tartan” design features a striking combination of green and black. The background, although not a typical tartan pattern, is a unique variation of it. We've incorporated square shapes to create a checkerboard effect, which we've then filled with a range of colors (such as green, black and white) and patterns (plain or diagonal stripes).
